About Rhoda’s Journey to Education

Hello and welcome! I’m Rhoda, the girl behind Rhoda Design Studio.

I want to invite you to browse through my site, and have a look around. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Let me show you how you can differentiate learning in a fun and engaging way. As a teacher, I know how valuable your time is. It’s important to have time to get your lesson plans done and still have time for your personal life.

I’m a teacher who also designs worksheets and curriculums. Thank you for coming to my site. Have a cup of coffee or tea, and linger a while, as you browse through my pages, and collect fun and rigorous lessons.

I have two beautiful children, a daughter, and a son. I was still in college when my daughter was born, and so elated, that my grades actually went up. My Children make my life full and wonderful. Not wanting to work outside the home, I set up an E-bay store and learned all I could about scrapbooking, which allowed me to stay home with my children until they were older.

I went on to teach Elementary school, high school Art and I am now teaching a 3/4 combination class. During this time I have sharpened my artistic skills, while teaching art classes. I learned Photoshop, Illustrator, all about selling on Etsy, how to blog, and taught myself how to code, which I love.

Armed with all of these great skills I now possess, I created my own online studio that allows me to put my knowledge and talents to work creating a side income.

In the midst of all these great things that were happening in my life, I developed a love for Yoga, learned how to make my own cleaning supplies, and use essential oils and herbs to keep my family healthy, ride a Yamaha dirt bike, and to paddleboard.

I strive to be the best person I can be. Whether it’s helping my family or working with my clients, I want to share my gifts with others.

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” ~Pablo Picasso
