Free Bunny Ears

Share the Learning

Young children LOVE to make hats out of paper. These bunny ears will make their holiday celebrations even more fun.

These are easy to make (a simple print and cut craft) that they can individualize by coloring and decorating with eggs, carrots and flowers.

This can be a great center in the classroom or an activity that your child can work on while you work on a chore or something near by.

They will need supervision if they are not yet skilled with scissors when it is time to cut it out. They will also need help with measuring the headband and gluing it in the right way.

Supplies

To make the bunny ears, you will need a few items that you might already have at home:

  • Free printable bunny ears (scroll to the bottom)
  • Paper & printer
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Coloring Utensils (Crayons, Colored Pencils, Markers)

Instructions

  1. Start by printing the bunny ears template on white cardstock.
  2. Let your child color the ears, bands, and decorations.
  3. Then, cut out the pieces.
  4. Glue the 2 other rectangles to the sides of the one with the ears.
  5. Measure your child’s head and trim the excess. (If their head is bigger, you can add an additional rectangle to make it longer.)
  6. Bring the ends together on the back and glue them.
  7. Wear the cute bunny ears!

HINT: You can tape or glue on a cotton ball at the back to make a cute bunny tail for your easter bunny craft!
